Kenya wants to fight this girl, Denasia for getting with DeVante. Starr reunites with an old friend, Khalil at the party and catches up with him. It is revealed that Khalil sells drugs. They hear gunshots at the party, so they leave, forgetting Kenya. Khalil is giving Starr a ride home until they get stopped by a police officer for broken taillights. Starr remembers that her parents taught her to always do what they say and to be cautious. Khalil gets patted down and nothing was found. The officer, one-fifteen tells him to wait there and to not move. Khalil opens the driver’s door and the police officer shoots and kills him. Starr gets flashbacks from when Natasha was shot, and she rushes to check on Khalil and she screams.

Thinking about all of the blood that she saw, Starr gets sick and has to throw up. Starr wakes up at 5 in the morning with the flash of the night of the party and everything that happened. She has a flashback of what happened to her cousin, Natasha, when she was shot by someone with tattoos. When Starr finally gets out of bed to eat breakfast, Khalil's death is brought up again. Starr goes to the store with her dad and realizes she left her phone at home, so she can't talk to her boyfriend, Chris. Kenya walks into the store and goes across the street with Starr to get food. Khalil's name was not revealed on the news, and that upset Starr. The pastor begins to speak and afterwards King shows up and places a grey bandana on his coffin which means that he was part of his gang. When they run into trouble with some gang members, Seven's friend Devante protects them from trouble. Starr's parents show up at the park and explain how they are in big trouble. She gets really mad and storms off to the car where he tells her about the interview and that he knows its her and she explains how she feels like she's living two different lives and 
how hard her life has been.
