One problem is that more and more people are coming to the US looking for jobs and a better lifestyle. This causes overpopulation and having to pay more people at more jobs makes it so people get paid less because there is a lot of other people. Also there is not a lot of housing for people to live at. Most laborers would live in tenements with around 10 other people.

Now many countries around the world are starting to have more poverty issues. Some countries can't afford necessities like food, clothing , water, and sometimes housing. People work many hours a day to try to make enough money for them and their families to try and live off of. These problems are also in America people are still living in the streets or in tiny apartments trying to live off what they can do.

Poverty is still a problem in the U.S and now it is becoming a huge problem in the world. Back then people where not paid enough and even now people are not paid enough. Even though the minimum wage was invented and it went up people are still not able to make enough money to make a living.

This is happening in major cities like New York city and in Pennsylvania. This is because there is major population there and there is more and more people. Since there is more people there are less job opportunities because there is already so many people.

Now in days poverty is everywhere. In the entire world over 12% of the counties are in poverty. However countries like Afghanistan are not in poverty because they have places like the capitals that look like they are wealthy but on the other hand other parts of Afghanistan have to live in houses called "Mud Huts". Even still poverty is still in the U.S and it is a hug problem. However poverty is not in major cities it is in the countryside. This is because there are mostly farmers now and farming is not really a high paying job nowadays.

Poverty is still in the U.S but now it has spread to the world. Even though that poverty is now spreading across the world it is still taking a toll in America. People are still suffering from poverty in the U.S and not a lot of thing are being done to prevent more people from going into poverty.

One cause of poverty is people aren't getting paid enough. This happens because there is no minimum wage people earn it is just how much our work is worth. This means all the earnings from the company go to the CEO. A second cause of poverty is overpopulation. This is because there are so much people looking for jobs and already a lot of people at jobs means more workers = less pay per worker.

One cause of poverty today is the inflation on everything. This is because the prices of basic necessities go up but the peoples pay doesn't go up with it. Now that there is a minimum wage some people get paid that minimum wage hourly. This makes it so when there is inflation people can't afford somethings now because they aren't paid enough.

The causes of Poverty really haven't changed from back in the progressive era. People are still living in poverty because they aren't paid enough. But however now we have lots more jobs open for people to be hired at so overpopulation is not really big deal.

There should be a minimum wage for people to earn so that not all the profit goes to the CEO. If there is a minimum wage set for people there would lots and lots of people not living in the streets or living in tenement with 10 other people.

There should be an increase in the minimum wage so that people can afford more basic necessities. If there was an increase on minimum wage people can get more stuff like necessities and wants. There would be less people needing to go to homeless shelters to get there food and water and clothing.

Back in the progressive era people needed a minimum wage now people need a boost in that minimum wage. People are still doing there jobs for minimum wage and if we can increase their pay wage there would be a lot of less people living in poverty.
