Therefore the knowledge of the skills and the court in the lesson is limited and in many cases non-existent. 
 
Prior Skills: similar to the level of knowledge on the area of badminton the student’s interaction with the skills involved in the game of badminton is at a low level. The students have some hand-eye co-ordination skills gained through the sports they have already participated in such as rounders. 
 
Prior Attitudes: the students are not enthusiastic with the idea of completing a badminton module but it is in line with the schools programme for the year so has to be completed. The girls in particular are hesitant about completing the module.
