         <description><![CDATA[<div>1. A majority of people in Yemen belong to Islam or Muslim religion which diffused to Yemen in 630 AD during the rule of the Persians.<br>2. Islam is a universalizing religion and it is the second largest universalizing religion with over 1.5 billion adherents.<br>3.</div><ul><li>Monotheism is the belief in a single god, while polytheism is the belief of multiple gods. Islam believes in God and complete submission to only God. Because they only believe in one god, Islam is a monotheistic religion.</li><li>Muslims believe in God who revealed himself to Muhammad the prophet. They must submit to the will of Allah by following the Five Pillars of Islam. If they follow these rules they will be rewarded by going to Heaven.</li></ul>]]></description>

Muslims regard the Quran as the most important miracle of Muhammad.</li><li>Islamic architecture has unique characteristics like its geometric and interlace patterned ornaments. Some islamic architecture types include the Mosque, the Tomb, the Palace and the Fort.</li></ul>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>A common folk culture practice in Yemen that has been practiced for thousands of years is the Yemeni folk dance which consists of different dances. For example "Al-Mazat" and "Al zzar" and a pipe made of the pipes of corn and drums are used to create music.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Yemen was originally two different counties that split due to conflict which caused them to have different influences. The north was under Zaidi theocratic rule and the south was under British rule. The country reunited and this is when ethnic tension began.&nbsp; Zaidi Shi’ism predominates in the northern highlands, alongside a small Isma’ili minority; Sunnis form the majority elsewhere.&nbsp;But the rise of political Islam has caused conflict between the two groups.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Women in Yemen are supressed and forced to stay at home, resulting in them getting little to no education and not getting a job. Women also do not get a choice of whether they want to get a job or stay at home they are forced by men in their society. Although, the Human Rights Watch is looking to change these gender inequalities.</div>]]></description>
