         <description><![CDATA[<ul><li>Type 1 diabetes is usually diagnosed in children and young adults and can be also known as juvenile diabetes.  </li><li>In this type of diabetes the body does not produce any insulin </li><li>symptoms usually start as a child or as a young adult </li><li>hypoglycemia (low blood sugar)  is common </li><li>non-preventable </li><li>Treatments: taking insulin, carbohydrate counting, frequent blood sugar monitoring, eating healthy foods, exercising regularly and maintaining a healthy weight </li></ul><div><br></div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<ul><li>most common type of diabetes </li><li>Your body does not produce insulin normally. If you have this disease your pancreas will try and make up the insulin that your body is not receiving, but overtime it is not able to keep up and make enough insulin to keep your blood glucose levels normal. This is called insulin resistance. </li><li>symptoms may not be noticeable until after diagnosed </li><li>no hypoglycemia </li><li>it is preventable with a healthy lifestyle (maintaining weight, eating right, and exercising regularly) </li><li>Treatments: healthy eating, regular exercise, possibly medication or insulin therapy, and blood sugar monitoring  </li></ul>]]></description>
