He led the expansion of the America Stell industry and he is often identified as one of the richest people.
At the age of 65, Carnegie decided to spend the rest of his days helping others so became a philanthropist (a person who gives money to good causes) in the United States. During the last 18 years of his life, he gave away almost 90% of his fortune to charities, foundations and universities. Andrew loved to read and he wanted to give money also to support education and reading so he established the "Carnegie Institute of Technology" which is know as an university.
Andrew believed in the "Gospel of Wealth" which meant that wealthy people were morally obligated to give their money back to other in society.
Carnegie had made some charitable donations before 1901, but after that time, giving his money away became his new occupation!!

Robin Hood is an hero very popular in the U.K. who, according to legend was a highly skilled archer and swordsman.
He is traditionally depicted dressed in "Lincoln green", he is said to have robbed from the rich and given to the poor.
