Universal & Tier 1 Strategies:

• Attendance team meeting in every WPS that include the school nurses

• The teams will identify students and discuss if the reasons maybe related to health or social issues.

• The teams will make referrals to Case Management, Home Hospital or WRAP coordinators to construct a plan that supports the students inclusion in academics.

This is being done by teams of people that the nurses are part of. • Attend Student Wellbeing Team (SWT) meetings to advocate for needs of students with SHCN, ensure that appropriate accommodations are being followed if student is struggling at school or is chronically absent.
