As terrible as it was, I found myself really interested in her outcome, however. The "critical points" in a child's development were new to me and the fact that it was impossible for Genie to speak came as a surprise. Genie's case definitely offered a load of information on behavior and the human mind--that so much neglect and isolation stifles our development significantly. I wonder where she is at this moment, and what has happened since.
