I think this is not true becuase I have had one of my friends have a seizure in front of a crowd and they all went and helped him.

Yes because when Owen went and helped Adele everyone just looked st him differently.

The Theme

Peer pressure can cause friendships to end.

I think this is true because people don't realize how their feelings effect people.

"The Lottery" ends in a very graphic, unsettling way. Shirley Jackson's intention for writing is not to advocate for violence but to warn others about how extreme "following tradition" can become.

Critique the story by deciding whether or not the message is clear. Did you understand what lesson she wanted the audience to learn? Why or why not?

The message is clear because, in the end, it was clear that the traditions were violent when they happened. I understood the lesson because if you follow traditions every year then it won't always be good the next year.

After viewing the trailer, determine what you think this story will be about. (One sentence)

It's about an old greedy guy who doesn't understand how to be good.

What tone does the creator of this trailer want to convey to the audience? What makes you think that?

Scare but serious because they showed an old anger guy.

He realized how badly he was acting. His sister was a positive person in his life. No, he doesn't have the right to be mad at people around him because they have nothing to do with him.
