In the media industry she they use the techniques 'cutting to the beat' its the transition or 'cut' from one shot to another, the reason its to the beat is because most songs that use this technique have a strong beat where it flows well in the music video when they cut from scene to scene as it helps to keep or create rhythm and pace in the song, in some songs they cut to another scene while the person in frame is still singing which draws the viewer to the video because it can flow extremely well. The music video shows Adele sitting on a chair in a room. The room looks old and dusty, with dusty painter sheets laid on furniture and the floor, this draws our attention to Adele and keeps it on us as there is nothing else to distract us from her voice.
