The Great War started because of the assassination of the Archduke Franz Ferdinand he was from Austria-Hungary. The Archduke passed away due to Cabrinovic throwing bombs at his vehicle.

This affected Austria-Hungary because it gave them the opportunity to declare war on Serbia, by them doing this sparked World War 1. This also affected Europe which led up to the political crisis.

The Bloody War - July 1, 1916

During The Battle Of Somme the countries that fought were French and British against the German army. Britain sent about 100,000 men to bombardments to take over the Germans. After this war it helped the British army to gain experience. The person that was blamed for all this destruction was Sir Douglas Haig, he was a British commander.

This war affected a bunch of soldiers with trauma and grief. Towards the end of the war about 1,000,000 plus soldiers lost their lives or were injured from this war on both sides. this war was declared as one of the most bloodiest wars known to the British army.

The United States joined the war, because the Germans blew up the Lusitania instead of a different ship which the United States citizens were on. The Germans blew up the Lusitania with their submarines. Later on Germany sent a letter to Mexico, so that the Germans could attack Americans from an angle. Mexico showed this letter to Americans which led the U.S to attack. Two days before the U.S joined the war they made a vote with the senate who voted to take down Germany.

This affected the families of the U.S citizens about 116,516 soldiers passed away due to this war. There were about 128 American citizens that passed away on the lusitania.

The Miracle of the Marne - September 5, 1914

During the first battle of marne the French and Britain were going against the German army. The reason why they called the first battle of marne to "Miracle of marne" was, because it was nearly impossible that the Allied powers stopped the Germans due to their advantage. The First Battle of marne took place eastward from Paris and along the River Marne.

These soldiers lost their lives during this time the French army lost about 250,000, Germany lost about 12,733, and Germany lost an estimate of 298,000 soldiers. This affected society because it made the French to continue war, because it boosted their confidence once Britain came into the play.

The Passchendaele - October 19, 1914

The countries that fought during this war were the German army, and the Allied armies, which were Belgium, French, and British. The reason why this war all started was because Germany captured the people of Belgium. During this war the enemies would throw really toxic gas, like chlorine gas this gas would change the face of the soldiers.

In this battle of Ypres there were about 250,000 soldiers that were injured or passed away due to this war. The Battle of Ypres was there was really valuable ground that's been lost due to this war.

The Harsh Treaty - June 28, 1919

The Treaty Of Versaille was really harsh on the Germans. Some of the agreements that the Allied Power made for Germany is they had to accept war guilt, Germany had to pay 33 billion dollars to the Allied Powers due to their destruction. They had to give all the land that they took from all the different countries. The Allied Power reduces Germany's military power to miniume. The Big Four that signed that made this treaty were Lloyd George (Britain), Vittorio Emanuele Orlando (Italy), George Clemenceau (France), and Woodrow Wilson (United States). The U.S didn't sign this treaty because they thought the treaty was really harsh on Germany, but the U.S created their own treaty for Germany. Eventually Germany had to sign this treaty, even though they weren't the ones that started WW1.

This affected the German people, because the people would protest that they were hungry and the prices went up. This affected Germany because the Allies took 13% of Germany's land.
