Software: VPN access (and thus S:, Sharepoint and all other services) should be given to all employees as standard

Call forwarding and telephone conferencing: Allow phones to be forwarded to home phones/cell phones as a standard (if wanted by employee!)

It should be left up to team internal agreements (last word lies with Directors) to agree on appropriate levels of remote work. If I could work from home I wouldn't be in as much pain and could actually start healing. Also, I could actually do certain aspects of my work better at home (I have specialist content editing programmes and plugins on my home computer). I also have two large monitors, so I am much quicker with general tasks at home. The possibility of working remotely is now very different depending on the preferences of your supervisor. It would be great if there were more rights for employees (and information about those rights) to work from other places. A modern workplace allows for a flexible working atmosphere and is based on the work that is done, not the amount of time spent in the office.

Working from home does not only provide me as employee with more flexibility but also allows me to be more flexible toward Hertie as an employer. If necessary and to a limited extent I happy to finish up tasks in a rush if there is a deadline or something needs to be done outside of official office hours. It is really stressful and hard to concentrate there.
