He is in good relations with God, he cares about others, he hears God's messages and shares them, and he trusts in God. St. Patrick was captured by pirates and taken in as a slave. He suffered a lot during that time, but then God came to him in a dream he had. God told him that it was time for him to return home. St. Patrick was able to return home after a long time of being a slave, but then he heard God again and knew he had to return to Ireland to teach the Irish about God. St. Patrick did not have to return to the place where he had suffered many years, but knew it was the right thing to do and he trusted in God. -St.Patrick's Day is not just about drinking and the parade. We must remember the real St.Patrick, and what he has gone through. He was captured by pirates and taken in as a slave, but remained close to God and put his trust in God.  
-When St.Patrick picked shamrocks from the grass, he told others that the three leaves of the shamrock symbolized the Holy Trinity. The father, son and Holy Spirit. 
-The color green that is worn on St. Patrick's Day symbolizes the landscape in Ireland.
