Success and Failure
"Melting Men" is the work of Brazilian artist Nele Azevedo. It is presented as 1000 small ice men sitting on a ladder.
On Berliner Platz, passers-by are milling around as the Iceman melts.
In 2001 Néle Azevedo started an art project called 'Melting Men'. It has been exhibited in several countries around the world and continues to this day; visiting central cities in more than a dozen countries to create thousands of small ice sculptures.
Whereas sculpture in many people's traditional conception should last forever, her statues only stay for a moment.
1000 little ice figures in above twenty-degree weather, each melting gradually with the temperature as time slowly passes and one by one the little figures become east and west. Melting and breaking at different times until they are reduced to a puddle of warm water. A slow yet fast heart-rending beauty.

Aspirations: Artistic actions like this bring more attention to the issue of global warming and the insignificance of humans in the natural world. If these issues are not taken seriously, humans will eventually be like these icemen. Disappearing from the face of the earth.

Did you know that cows are very gassy? Cows as well as other farm animals produce 14% of human-induced climate emissions. Ask yourself, is that what you want to be breathing in? Tackling this issue would make a huge difference in overcoming global warming. Lets take a look at our local supermarkets. Every little helps. Does it really, Tesco? It is proven that Tesco waste 4,556 tonnes of their meat products yearly. The toxic gasses produced by farm animals are trapped in the air and not only affect our health, but encourage deforeastation, due to the fires they cause. You might be asking yourself, what can I do? We encourage meat-eaters to include more vegetables and grains within their meals to reduce meat intake. Additionally, buying organic, free-range meat in recyclable as well as biodegradable packaging makes a big difference to our world. We are asking Tesco to source their meat locally and encourage healthy agriculture within the UK, where not only cows will be treated fairly but so will we.
