It was a failure because of the droughts and they had no food because no crops could grow.

Also because they had no people to really make a town for example they had probably less than 10 farmers but had more than 40 rich colonizers that didn’t know how to work

In my opinion it was a failure because it started to have a lot of effects really quick like droughts which effected them a lot because water is the key element to farming and when they would trade with Powhatan's .

They had a lot of gentleman but all were useless , they had no skill on how to prepare for something like this or take any leadership as the ones with

riches.

Another reason for there downfall they didn’t bring enough people with skill like doctors who could help with there health as if anything goes wrong .

Jamestown in my opinion was very unsuccessful , most of the people they brought didn’t know how to farm and had long periods of drought which leads to no crops and lost many people.

Jamestown was unsuccessful due to constant droughts and unprepared colonist. Had they been more prepared perhaps they would have succeeded in the early years of Jamestown's development.

James Town was a failure. The English sent unprepared people no Farmers No women and expected the other people living in Jamestown to just be okay with random people coming on their land which led to hundreds of people dying, and wars with the Powhatan people

I think the JamesTown settlement was a failure because most of them died in the settlement. Also JamesTown had a lot of droughts and didn’t have a lot of drinking water or food so they weren’t prepared enough to settle.

The James town settlement was not a success do to how many settlers died 70 out of the 110 settlers died in James town.

And farmers weren’t able to make resources due to the droughts that used to happen in James town.

Jamestown was a failure because most of the people they brought were wealthy men, who didn‘t know how to build or farm. The amount of men they brought were originally and resupply were 230. Nearly 70 of the original settlers died.

I think James town was not successful at all, so many people lost their lives due to less farmers and low rain falls. Not having medical care on hand made the situation worse than it was before, bringing gentlemen that didn’t know nothing about farming was a big mistake, but they didn’t know that would make things worse, leaving people starving and sick.

Jamestown in my opinion was unsuccessful because they lost a lot of people and the also choose a place where their was drought , which caused them to lose a lot of important resources. Not to mention they didn’t bring the right people to help them thrive they just brought a whole bunch of rich people.
