Hammurabi's laws are pretty cruel but some of them are fair such as “If someone is caught in the act of robbery, then he shall be put to death.” Hammurabi's laws tell People that you don't want to do anything sinful and rebellious becuase you could be put to death very easily. Hammurabi's Laws are important then because Mesopotamia is a small place and Hammurabi's wanted it to be safe. Hammurabi's Laws are important because it tells us the real meaning of Mesopotamia but the rules and laws have changed a lot since then.

The middle class is commoners, Artisans and Scribes. While being the upper class is priests and kings. Scribes are in the middle class and what they do is very important because they are trained to write cuneiform in many different languages in Mesopotamia. Without scribes people wouldn't be able to understand and remember stories or be able too write and send letters. Scribes also write on many different objects based off of the writing. The purpose of class divisions was to have different people help when doing their jobs.

The purpose of cuneiform was to describe stories or pictures and to remember things well writing on cuneiform.
