One big advantage I really like is that globalization gives me the chance to work anywhere in the world. I don’t have to be stuck looking for jobs just in my city or country. The idea that I could work remotely or even move abroad someday is exciting to me because it means more opportunities and new experiences. Plus, working with people from different countries can teach me a lot about how they solve problems or use technology, which helps me become better at my job.

Another advantage is that globalization exposes me to a lot of different tools and programming languages. On the other hand, I feel that the competition is much tougher now. Since companies can hire people from all over the world, it’s not enough to be good — you have to be really good to stand out. Sometimes I worry that jobs might be taken by people who work for less money, which makes it harder for someone like me to get or keep a good salary.

Also, job security can be a problem. I’ve heard that many companies outsource tech jobs to other countries to save costs, and that makes me worried about losing my job one day. It feels like I have to constantly improve my skills just to stay safe in this changing environment.

When there are opportunities then there is also competition.More engineers competing for the same jobs globally can lead to increased competition and potentially lower salaries that's why the salary of Civil Engineering here in the Philippines is very low because there are a lot of Civil Engineers.

DISADVANTAGES OF GLOBALIZATION IN MY CAREER

One of the considered potential disadvantages of globalization for civil engineers are increased competition and the challenge of adapting to rapidly evolving technologies and diverse cultural contexts due to lack of references, knowledge, cultural boundaries,materials and others.Globalization can lead to a global labor pool, increasing competition for projects and positions which leads to high competition on employment and higher risk of unemployment.Additionally, engineers may need to work with international teams, navigate cultural differences, and stay current with advancements in technologies and standards across different regions which may lead to misconceptions towards ideas, cultural differences, and others.
