I could really relate to Eustace throughout most of the book because he had never been to Narnia before and he was always very scared and confused and didn't really now how to handle lots of things and I would probably act the same way to

One time when I really felt bad for Lucy was when she got separated from everyone and was enslaved by the island people. She didn't know what to do and was very scared. I lucky have never been separated from my family and so I cannot relate but I can just imagine how scared Lucy felt.

I think the author gave so many problems in the story on purpose because without them everyone would have just happily and very easily sailed away to find the seven lost lords. I also think he added these problems to make it more realistic because no one could go sailing on a journey and not encounter any problems like running out of water or getting caught in terrible storms.

The Voyage of Dawn Treader is a Window and a Mirror

This book is a Window and a Mirror for me because in some parts I can relate an in others I can't relate. 1. For example when Edmund, Lucy and Eustace are all sitting on the bed and then they start to hear noises and they magically start going into the picture on the wall of the ship sailing and the next thing they now they are actually in the ocean drowning. I cannot relate to that because that has never happened to me before and I can't Imagine it ever happening. 2. When they are enslaved on an island and brought home to random peoples homes to work for them. I cannot relate to that because I have never had that happen to me. 3. When they all got separated from each other for a while. I have never had to be seperated from my friends or family. All this shows that it is a window, however it is also a mirror. For example 1. When Eustace first went into Narnia he was very scared and a little confused. I would probably feel the same way. 2. They also relate to me and my identity board because a part of my board was friendship and there was definitely a ton of friendship in They Voyage of Dawn Treader. 3. I can relate to Edmund when Eustace was being annoying for getting very mad and irritated with him. I have a little sister so I understand how Edmund felt.
All of this shows that my book is both a window and mirror.
