The American Revolution is an example of resilience and resistance because the American army underwent many hardships. First, they were outnumbered in the war, so they had to be strategical. Second, they were undersupplied and the soldiers were inexperienced. Lastly, They had to deal with cold winters without proper clothes. I think these reasons show resistance and resilience because the soldiers couldn't fight and they were freezing.

The Pueblo Runners

The Pueblo Runners are an example of resistance and resilience. I think this because the runners had to run many huge areas of land with no shade in high temperatures. They also had to run hundreds of miles total to get to all the Pueblos. Finally, they had to run the whole way on foot quickly. I think this evidence shows resistance and resilience because the runners had to keep pushing through hundreds of miles with the heat burning them. They felt horrible yet they kept running.

Mum Bett

I think Mum Bett's story is an example of resistance and resilience. I think this because, according to Biography.com she was first born into slavery and was treated horribly. She then fled Ashley's home and had to find someone who would represent her in her case for freedom. They then had to win the case in a state that hadn't yet abolished slavery. I think these reasons show resistance and resilience because Mum Bett had to fight for her freedom in court which was only represented by white people.

I think James Armistead Lafayette is an example of resistance and resilience because, according to Biography.com, he was first born into slavery. He was then used to spy on the British. Finally he earned his freedom. I think these reasons show resistance and resilience because he had a very dangerous job while being disrespected because of his skin color. He was also a slave and finally he earned his freedom because of the amazing work he did in the war.
