Teaching digital technology in primary schools is essential for preparing children to navigate and succeed in our increasingly digital world and society. It fosters digital literacy, allowing students to critically evaluate online information, communicate effectively, and create digital content. Early exposure helps bridge the digital divide, promoting equity by providing all students with access to technology and the skills to use it responsibly. Moreover, it prepares them for future careers by developing skills in problem-solving and adaptability in a technology-driven world. Additionally, teaching online safety from a young age helps children understand potential risks like cyberbullying and inappropriate content, encouraging them to make smart choices to protect themselves and their peers.
