I choose this album in particular because personally I love this album and I have a personal connection with the message Khalid is trying to get his listeners to connect with. Throughout Khalid's album he uses various music examples and he is constantly raved about how amazing his album is and how everyone can connect with his words. The New York Times says "He doesn’t sing with power, only internal grace and calm, even when he’s just blowing off teenage steam." It's his grace that makes his music connect with teenagers and also the fact that he is a teenager himself gives him a perspective into his listeners taste and mind set.
