I like fishing, reading books, baking, and love to travel. I went to many places, and I think those experiences built now who I am. I like to discover something that interests me. 

Due to Covid I couldn’t go somewhere or do as much as before, but I didn’t want to lounge around so I learned Romanian language last summer at Bucharest Uni. I had read more books, and now I’m taking this programme and I'm excited to learn Business and management.

I’d say Im proficient/complete nerd in many design software packages such as, photoshop/illustrator/CAD etc, I’ve utilised these skills by free lance designing promotional materials, branding, logos and websites. I’ve designed merchandise for a DJ company which included hoodies, T-shirts etc. I’ve had the privilege of attending London Fashion Week&had my work displayed at graduate fashion week (all pre covid). I am very much into my fashion and find it very interesting, other than that, in my spare time I like to go on holiday a lot, socialise with family and friends, go to the gym and walk my dogs Kobi, Barney and Murphy, and because of my love for dogs I decided to make my own business during lockdown called “gee creates”, all it literally is, is just digitally drawn portraits of peoples pets using a graphics pad. 

I am looking forward to learning more throughout the course so I can expand my knowledge of Digital Marketing and put it into practise in my future plans. During this week I’ve very much enjoyed learning about digital entrepreneurship. 

I live in Chalfont St. Peter, a Buckinghamshire village, (apparently the largest village in Europe), which for me is the best of both worlds as it combines countryside with relatively easy access to London. I live with my husband and 12-year-old son, and Ripley our demanding puppy.

I studied French and German over 30 years ago and lived in both Germany and Paris. After a short stint in banking, I then worked for the same company for 24.5 years before the pandemic hit. Originally in international sales (I had the good fortune to see a lot of the world), and then moved into marketing with focus on PR. 

I considered setting up my own business when made redundant after the first lockdown, and although I have always tried to keep abreast of digital marketing trends and developments, I was lacking in confidence in what I knew. So, this course appealed.

We have a pretty varied client base spanning both B2B and B2C sectors from global organisations like the World Health Organisation and World Heart Federation to local companies like Pipers Crisps and Red Hill Farm Pork (sausages and potatoes are big in Lincolnshire!) This gives us the opportunity to work on all sorts of different projects at different scales and definitely keeps it interesting! I love all forms of creativity and spend a lot of my downtime exploring art, design, photography, architecture, interiors, fashion, crafts, film, music, literature. I love cooking, gardening, travel, dabble in crochet and have a crazy shoe collection.

I'm also a bit of a digital geek and am focusing on digital marketing at this point of my career to acquire the skills to enhance our agency's offer and hopefully build a successful digital marketing team in the future. It's a bit daunting at the moment but really excited to be on this journey.

Great to see so many cat lovers here – I  have four at home! Looking forward to working and learning with you all.

In terms of questions in the module I'd like to know if there are any specific criteria/recommendations for the type of digital venture we should choose for the assessment case study? 

Also I note it specifies APA (6th edition). I have only used 7th previously (as that's what Google docs has in its citation tool!) Are the two editions very different?
