Mr. Robinson was a very cool principle. I really didn't have a connection with him. But I always enjoyed when he was around and the fun he brought to westlake.

There was an outside pep rally when I was in 9th grade and I got locked in the school because I was using the restroom and all of the gates were down. Mr. Robinson came down the main stairs and saw me, laughed and was like “your stuck aren’t you?” And he let the gates up for me

Mr. Robinson went out a hero. I knew him from football games and the fact he was trying to save a life for his is amazing. He showed plenty of leadership at westlake and was a principle everyone needed.

While he was here , he did everything he could to make sure we enjoyed coming to school. He helped me in a lot of cases and he made sure a lot of students stayed on track. I appreciate everything he did for us and will he never be forgotten. May his soul rest in never ending peace.💜

One day in the cafeteria during breakfast, this girl kept trying me and I was so close to beating her up, but then Mr. Robinson stopped me and pulled me into his office and gave me the longest talk ever... at the time it kind of went in one ear and out the other but now thinking back on it, the things he said really stuck with me and made me realize how much he actually cared enough to give me that talk rather than just penalize me. After that day, Mr. Robinson always checked in on me and made sure I was doing everything I needed to.

I remember him from freshmen year and met at an orientation to meet the new principal. Mr. Robinson was a great, inspiring, kind, and amazing man. He made Westlake a better school and helped us thrive to be better than what we thought we could be. He pushed us the extra mile and made us stronger people.

Mr.Robinson was never out of arms reach, whether it was for the help of the students or just to talk casually. I remember the first two weeks of school I had NONE of my classes and he almost IMMEDIATELY responded to me and helped me out, giving me his personal contact information for any questions that I had this year and getting me into my classes almost instantly.

On the first day of my freshman year, I got lost trying to find my 1A. I ran into Mr. Robinson and he helped me find a my classes and was very kind about it and he was so nice and that made my day.

Mr. Robinson was a very active principle. In a school with over 2,000 kids, I would see him at least 2x week. Always making sure each of his students were doing well and giving each of us the opportunity to succeed. He was very a positive and a genuine individual.

I didn't know Principal Robinson all that well, and I've actually only had one conversation with him, but I do know that he was an amazing principal that only wanted the best for his students. Had a few interactions with him, wish there were more, nicest guy and principal I've ever interacted with. Always a smile on his face, never a dull moment, and loved his school. He attended pretty much every game for every sport, and showed nothing but love and support for us. Gone, but never forgotten.

The only interaction I had with Mr.Robinson was in the hallway. The cheer team and I was walking down the hall without masks and he asked us to pull them up to keep everyone safe. He seemed like a very loving and caring principal.

I didn't know the principal that well but one of the many nice things he has done was when my friend passed away he took the time to give me and others time to grieve over the lost. I hurts that we lost Mr. Robinson too, but I know he would probably want us to just be successful and do our best to stay strong.

I'm reflecting on the fact that we ALL had him in our corner. How he was there for everybody. His personality alone was inspiring he was always positive and this anything is possible attitude, that's something you don't see a lot. Mr. Robinson was a special person. I remember the end of my freshman year there was an award ceremony and he gave an speech to all the 9-11 graders. This meant so much to me because freshman’s year was a year of self development and struggle for me. His words really empowered me to never set myself for nothing less than the best. He empowered me to not limit myself for new opportunities. After his death I made the commitment to myself that I will make him proud no matter how hard it gets, no matter how difficult the task is I will get it done and I will do it for him #onewestlake

I once asked Mr.Robinson for advice on what should I do to prepare for what I want to do after high school. He asked me what I wanted to do and I replied “ I want to go to law school and become a defense attorney” he then said he would see if he could get me into a program. In conclusion this summer I got an invite to be in a law intensive program all because of mr.Robinson. I just wish he was here to see how happy I am.

I wasnt really that personally close to Mr. Robinson, but in the few times i met Mr. Robinson, he immediately showed how caring and nice of a person he was. He was really the only principal that i've had that genuinely cared about his students and staff and strived to inspired students to do great in the future.
