         <description><![CDATA[<div>Nutrient: A chemical substance from food that the body needs to live.<br>Nutrition:the study of how the body uses the nutrients in the foods that are eaten.<br>Malnutrition: A lack of the right proportions of nutrients over an extended period of time.<br>Deficiency Disease: An illness caused by the lack of a sufficient amount of nutrients.<br>Carbohydrates:the nutrients that is the body's chief source of energy.<br>Glucose:the form of sugar carried in the blood stream for energy used throughout the body.<br>Dietary Fiber: A form of complex carbohydrates from plants that humans can not digest.<br>Artificial Sweetener: A product that sweetens food with fewer calories and less carbohydrates then sugar.&nbsp;<br>Fat: An important Nutrients that Provides energy to and adds insulation to the body.<br>Fatty Acid: A chemical chain that contains carbon, Hydrogen, and oxygen atoms that occur in lipids.<br>Hydrogenation: The process of adding Hydrogen atoms to the unsaturated Fatty Acids in Liquid oils.<br>Trans Fatty Acid: A fatty acid with an odd molecular shape that increases the risk of heart attack and disease.&nbsp;</div><div>Cholesterol: A fat like substance that is present in the skin tissue, acid in the transported of fatty acids in the body, and is needed to produce hormones.</div><div>Hormone: A chemical That controls a certain body function or process.<br>Protein Energy malnutrition: a condition that results from a diet not containing enough proteins and calories<br>Amino Acid:a small unit that makes up protiens<br>Enzyme: the darkening of fruit caused by exposure&nbsp;<br>Antibody: a specific type of protein that helps fight infection&nbsp;<br>Digestion: the body process of breaking foods down into simpler compounds the body can use<br>Absorption:the process of taking in nutrition and making them part of the body<br>Peristalsis: a wave of contractions of which food is pushed through the digestive tract.<br>Saliva:a muscular enzyme containing liquid secretion.<br>Metabolism:the chemical process that takes place in the cells after the body absorbs nutrients.<br>Diabetes: a common disorder in which the pancreas doesn't create enough insulin results in body unable to keep blood sugar at normal levels.</div>]]></description>
