What I Have Learnt :

The name Taihu Lake Snow Sericulture Park is somewhat misleading as it doesn't involve actual snow. It's likely a reference to the traditional silkworm farming, which has a long history in the area and is often associated with a sense of beauty and purity, which can be visualized as "snow." The park focuses on silkworm farming and its related culture, offering visitors a chance to learn about and experience this aspect of local life. 

• "Taihu Lake": refers to the location, as it's situated on the shores of Taihu Lake.

• "Snow": is a poetic term, as silkworm farming is often described as being as pure and delicate as snow.

• "Sericulture": refers to the farming and rearing of silkworms, which are used to produce silk.

Why is called Humble Administrator's Garden . Is it because the person living there was humble ?

What I Have Learnt :

The Humble Administrator's Garden is not named because the person living there was particularly humble in a religious sense, but rather because the name alludes to a simple life of gardening and quiet reclusion after a frustrated career as a government official. The name references a poem about a scholar who enjoyed a simple life tending his garden. 

What I Know :

It is a museum located in Suzhou.

What I Want To Know:

What are we going to do there at the museum. Are we going to look at boring artworks, history of Suzhou or fossils.

What I Have Learnt :

Visitors can explore ancient artifacts, including pottery, jade, and bronze, as well as paintings and calligraphy from various dynasties. The museum also features displays on Suzhou's silk trade, classical gardens, and even some exhibits on Suzhou's history from ancient times to the Ming and Qing dynasties. While it doesn't have a specific fossil collection, the museum's focus on the history and culture of Suzhou is what makes it a unique destination.

Pingjiang Ancient Street in Suzhou, China, boasts a history of over 2,500 years and is known as a "miniature of Suzhou's old city". The street's layout, as seen today, is remarkably similar to the ones depicted in ancient maps from the Song Dynasty. It's a well-preserved area with traditional Chinese architecture, water lanes, and a leisurely pace, offering a glimpse into the past. 

What I know:

Acrobatic show is very shocking and interesting. It takes a lot of time to practice to make it perfect. Sometimes, the movements are dangerous.

What I want to know:

I want to know what kind of acrobatic show is it ( e.g. flexibility, strength ... ).

What I have learnt:

I have learnt that Chinese Acrobatics is one of the oldest performing arts in China ,also known as national art. It consisted of a variety of acts such aswrestling, musical performances, dance, martial arts, horsemanship, and juggling and refers to a wide range of acrobatic acts, balancing acts and other demonstrations of physical skill performed by a troupe in traditional Chinese attire.

What I know:

The flight is about 6 hours long and we are going to be seated according to our own place without swaping seats. We are taking a flight on Singapore Airlines 🇸🇬.

I want to know how does the Shanghai airport 🛫 🛬 looks like.

What I have learnt:

The plane we are going to take have TV unless ther is a change of plane.

Shanghai is a place with rich culture and a very beautiful place. We are going to watch their wonderful acrobatic show over there.

Shanghai is famous because of birthplace of Chinese cinema, served as a battleground for socialist/realist writers and the “bourgeois”-oriented writers, and was an early adopter .

What I know: The flight on SQ from Singapore to Shang Hai is approximately 5 hours and 30 minutes

What I want to know: What are the special areas inside of the Shang Hai airport?

What I learnt: There are sleeping pods and gardens inside the airport

What I Learned: Shanghai has famous sites like The Bund, Oriental Pearl Tower, and Yu Garden.

What I know: Suzhou is in eastern China, near Shanghai.

What I want to know: What are the must-see places?

What I learnt: Suzhou offers a wealth of attractions, from serene gardens to historic waterways. Key must-sees include the Humble Administrator's Garden, Lingering Garden, and the Suzhou Museum, along with exploring the canals and the charming Zhouzhuang Water Town

What I know: Using two hands is respectful.

What I learnt: Pointing, touching someone’s head, or speaking loudly in sacred or formal spaces is rude.

What I Know: Suzhou is a city with a long history and full of Jiangnan water village charm. It has many fasciniting attractions and delicious food.

What I want To know:How does Suzhou make it a safe place?

What I Know:The Suzhou Museum has ancient Chinese art painting, handmade craft and calligraphy in the museum.
