He went to take a look but saw nothing. One hour later the slow tapping noise was heard again. He went to take a look again but this time he saw a black figure behind a tree far in the distance. He got suspicious of the man and decided to keep an eye on him. Hours of him watching the figure without any movement of the black figure. Later he fell asleep of exhaustion. When he woke up it was 9 in the morning without any disturbance of his dog. He thought it was weird that his dog didn’t wake him up like he usually does. He stood up and went looking around for his dog. He kept calling his name but couldn’t find him. He found his dog 2 hours later in a corner in the bathroom. The dog was dead. Jack was scared and thought: “Who would do this and why?!”. He kept thinking about it till late at night. At exactly eleven o’clock at nigh the slow tapping noise was heard again. Jack ran to the window to see if the black figure was there again. When he went to take a look he saw the black figure again but a lot closer. He got scared and backed down. He ran to his bedroom and hid under his blanket. Suddenly he heard a door opening and heard footsteps. The footsteps kept getting closer and closer until they were right in front of his bedroom door. The door slowly opened, and a black figure was walking in. The black figure started talking and said: “Last time I was stopped by your dog so I had to kill him.”. Jack got scared and hoped he was dreaming. The black figure started talking again: “This time it’s your turn!!!”. Jack got killed at the exact moment the sentence ended. Mariah woke up and stood up as fast as she could. The people in the retirement home looked at her with concerned eyes. She sat down again. She sighed and said: “How could I think of my dead son again after so many years.” The people at the retirement home sat down next to her and told her it was okay to occasionally think of her son. She went to her room and went to sleep and never dreamt of that story again.
