(pg. 10: “She’s breathing like she's run a 5K, and her eyes dart up and down the hall.”) She usually puts her energy into painting and art, by making costumes. (pg. 79 “Reagan holds up her sketchbook, and they both gush over her drawing…”   pg. 125 “I’m stunned by her creativity, and her abilities.”)

(I think) Mr. Gaines is also very close friends with the RPB’s parents, so they might be trying to work something out to get the shooter some protection.
