I was assigned as a Traffic and Safety Committee (Jawatankuasa Lalulintas dan Keselamatan). So, I prepared the flowchart map to make is easy for the bus drivers to drop off their students, I made parking tagging for the VIPs and VVIPs, and I arranged the helpers among the students to make sure the traffic is going smoothly during the first day and last day of the event.

Furthermore, the week was fun for the students and teachers as we get to cherish ourselves by the varieties of food selection from the food truck that had been operated since the previous week. For instance, there were ice-cream, Ayam Gunting, Keropok Lekor, varieties of drinks option and many more. In addition, there was a massage session for anyone that are interested.

For form 1, I was at Chapter 3 Kuasa Dua, Punca Kuasa Dua, Kuasa Tiga, Punca Kuasa Tiga, where the students get to know a new mathematic symbols and operations. For form 2, I was teaching Chapter 4 Poligon. The topic is about the properties of shape and the calculation of their interior and exterior angles. For form 5, I was teaching Chapter 3 Mathematics Consumer: Insurance, where the students were introduced to the fundamental of insurance system in Malaysia. Starting 2023, All MRSM teachers are teaching Mathematics subject in Bahasa Melayu.

On 21st June, there was an event of farewell ceremony (Majlis Sanjungan Budi Lambaian Kasih) for my two senior teachers, Puan Nor Farahiyah was a Ketua Jabatan Sains Sosian and Puan Zurayme was a Ketua Jabatan Bahasa. The ceremony took place at Abg Long SJ D'Salai restaurant near Slim River. It was very inspitational speech from those teachers and I hope they will be more excel at their new position.

On 25th June, lecturers from Universitas Islam Negeri Mahmud Yunus, Batusangkar, Indonesia were doing a visits to MRSM FELDA Trolak to give a sharing about the AI tools in Mathematics subject. They are integrating the AI system in some of topics that was taught during secondary school. For example, they were showing us the visual of 3 dimensional moving image of geometry shapes by scanning the barcode through their application. One of the lecturer said that they build the application from three paid websites and develop the application to be used as teaching aids in class.

On monday, there was another farewell ceremony for 4 teachers, Cikgu Suhaini, Cikgu Aida Suria, Ustaz Hafiz and Cikgu Nailah, because they were promoted to be a Head Department at different MRSM. Cikgu Aida Suria was my mentor at MRSM FELDA, there were a lot of things I learnt from her and I am very thankful to have a very dedicated mentor.

On the same week, there was an event of Majlis Anugerah Kecemerlangan SPM 2023. Eventhough the GP (Gred Purata) for Mathematics subject was slightly drop compared to previous year, but we will try to improve our approach towards the students for this year, hoping that we may reach 100% students get an A+.

This week was fully filled with extra classes called Al Falah session as it has been scheduled by Head Departments. This is because the Semester 1 Final Examination 2024 will be starting on 31st July 2024 until 15th August 2024. So, Al Falah session is playing a vital role to keep them on track for the subject expecially Mathematics right after they were busy with sort of different events back then such as Activity Week, Kejohana Olah Raga (Kejora), MSSD and MSSPK, and others.

I started focusing to finish the topics that will be covered in the Final Exam Semester 1 so that I will have an extra periods for our final revision. At the same time, teachers from Mathematics department were having a sharing session, called as Professional Learning Community (PLC) in order to discuss a quick strategy for the students to achieve the best result during the exam. We came out with an idea to form an intervention group for the weak students and we also had selected some excel students to become a mentor.

Strategy for Form 2, I planned to make a pre-test for all the students to train them in time management skills and as their preparation before the actual exam. 1 hour was allocated for the students to do the pre-test and the answer was discussed during the last class of the week.

On Thursday, I managed to have a meeting with Timbalan Pengetua Kecemerlangan Akademik, Ketua Jabatan, and timetable committees to discuss about the Ulul Albab timetable issues. We need to come out with the final decision because the next timetable will be published on the next week. During the weekend, we were also having Al Falah session (extra class) with Form 5 students for their final preparation.

I get to enhance my skills in event management and create a wide of network opportunities by connecting students with peers, educators and professionals in the field.

Weakness:

There is miscommunication between the event organizers and teachers, leading to a parking problem for the VIPs.

Opportunity:

I get to engage a collaboration with students and teachers from different MRSM and sharing our opinions in order to increase the event visibility and prestige.

Threat:

Other MRSM may have similar or better programs and events, making it essential for every schools to continuously innovate and improve its offering.

I get to enhance my skills towards the event management that is related to sports, which also provides the students to develop athletic skills and discover new interests.

Weakness:

Scheduling conflicts between each of the competition because each students may participate up to 5 differents categories and sometimes there was a clash due to the time constraints.

Opportunity:

The activity week has given teachers to introduce diverse activities such as workshop and some sort of games for the students to explore their skills and field of interest.

Threat:

Limited funding from school administrations causing impact of the event to be less quality and having a problem with facility availability.

My lessons were still on track according to the Scheme Of Work (SOW) for each level. Thus, topical quiz and extra exercises can be provided because there was a plenty of extra time.

Weakness:

The basic understanding of multiplication among the form 1 students is very weak causing a bit difficult for them to memorize the square roots and cube roots. Meanwhile for Form 5 students, they learnt the topic which they were not familiar with because they will not be exposed to the concept of real insurance until they are getting a job.

Oppotunity:

The usage of technology is very helpful for the students to recognize the properties of polygons especially for Form 2 students because it involves the animation and visualisation.

Threat:

I am afraid that the Form 5 students will get confused towards the insurance plan that offered by various company in Malaysia because the lesson covered in the textbook is only about 20% and there are a lot of more complex principle when it comes to the real situation.

I managed to complete the topic that will be covered in the UF2 and all the topical exercises have been given to the students for each level.

Weakness:

But, I did not managed to give them the sample of past year examination paper to let them know the pattern of the questions that probably will be asked in UF2.

Opportunity:

On monday, I was having a class with 5 Thoriq and 1 Ubaidah which I managed to drill a lot of questions with them as their preparation for UF2 and discussed the target questions.

Threat:

Unfortunately, I did not managed to discussed the same exercises with the remaining three classes as they have their own subject allocated.

I was having an extra time to be utilized to cover an additional topics (Ungkapan Algebra) which is a very crucial topic that are related to multiple chapters

Weakness:

When covering a multiple chapters in a short time, it may cause to overwhelm especially for the weak students in order to understand the fundamental concepts.

Opportunity:

Topics such as Taxation (Percukaian) can foster practical skills as it integrates as part of our everyday life.

Threat:

As my mentor was leaving MRSM FELDA this week, I have lost my primary source of information and there is no more full guide from her. Thus, I have to be more independent and get ready to moving forward on my own.

EMK (Elemen Merentas Kurikulum) approach was used during the lesson of Bentuk Geometri Tiga Dimensi which is creativity and innovative because the students need to make a real life model made out of coloured paper.

Weakness:

My time management was not very effective since the time comsumed for the project of the 3D model was a bit delayed. Thus during the class, I can only teach for the part of shapes' properties.

Opportunity:

I found that some complex topics such as Bentuk Geometri 3D can be delved deeper if we are using the correct example of our surroundings.

Threat:

My Form 5 students cannot recall the lesson of the ungrouped data, causing the lesson during my class to be a bit slow because I need to revise again the concept of ungrouped data in statistics.

Basic calculation for the 3D shapes may comprehend the coverages of their conceptual understandings towards the properties of 3D shapes, which I get to explain better for the existance of the formula.

Weakness:

I cannot help my students to fully understand all the three different methods in solving simulataneous equation because some of the students may facing a difficulties to digest the contents especially for substitution method and elimination method because they are quite a bit similar.

Opportunity:

Various methods is actually help students based on their preferences because some students may understand method A more than method B but the remaining students is vice versa.

Threat:

Students' varying levels of knowledge may lead to disengagement and misconception because the way that they try to understand some of the new concepts is different.

Form 1 students were having a strong focus on fundamental topics so that it will be much easier for them to understand the further topics. I also managed to utilize the past year papers for Form 5 students as their preparation towards the examination.

Weakness:

Repetitive exercises may cause the students to be bored and dull because they need to sit and answer the questions for 1 hour which is not good for students that are kinesthetic, but drilling session is really a need to prepare them for exam.

Opportunity:

While doing an extensive modules, I usually let my students to sit in group for discussion, which will lead to peer collaboration and sharing their points of view and contexts on the method to solve the problem.

Threat:

There will be a possibility that extensive modules could overwhelm some of the students because of their different level of knowledge.

Al Falah session gave me an extra time to focus on targeted students who are usually get low marks in their exam, to ensure a thorough preparation by doing a lot of comprehensive revision.

Weakness:

It can be seen that students will feel tired because of too much extra classes involving all nine different subject. Al Falah session will be held during the afternoon from 3 pm to 5 pm and evening form 8 pm to 10 pm.

Opportunity:

Extra classes such as Al Falah had gave the students to increase their confidence and morale for a better performance while they sit for the exam.

Threat:

Students experienced burnout due to the excessive classes especially for the targeted students because they will be continued attending the intervention session from 5.30 pm to 6.30 pm.

Proactive collaboration with Chief Departments to discuss about some of the issues regarding the timetable for Ulul Albab Programme.

Weakness:

The timetable meeting was not involving the future committee of timetable to let them know the current situation within every departments.

Opportunity:

There was a potential to refine Ulul Albab timetable after the discussion because the decision has been made from the leaders that have the authority.

Threat:

Disruptions may occur due to the changes of teacher and their teaching credit hour which could lead to confusion.

I managed to do the final revision with students from each level for their preparedness, since the exam paper for Mathematics subject was held during this week.

Weakness:

Inconsistence attendance for the students because of there was too much subject were doing revision session, thus the students will missing some of the session.

Opportunity:

I can focus both Form 1 and Form 2 students simultaneously because their exam paper will be on the same week.

Threat:

There was a possibility that pressure and anxiety will affect the students morality and performance because of the previous paper that might be difficult for them.

All materials and modules were fully prepared by me during the examination week to be used starting on semester 2 2024, which gives me an extra time to do marking the examination paper before due.

Weakness:

No semester break, causing the students to lose their momentum which may lead to burnout since they were just finished the exam week.

Opportunity:

Semester 2 topics were more about geometry concepts for lower form, which makes the lesson to be more visible and easy for students to understand the topic.

Threat:

There was a potential gap in foundational knowledge for the new topics if the prior concept were not fully master yet.
