In the first week, I learned about the importance of selecting a clear and relevant research title for a landscape project. I explored how a good title should reflect the main focus of the study, include specific keywords, and highlight the core issues being investigated. This process helped me to think critically about what makes a research topic meaningful and manageable. I also learned to identify the main topic, define the research problem, and develop suitable research questions that align with the objectives. Through this, I gained a better understanding of how a well-structured title can guide the overall direction of a research project.

Week 2, I explored the comparative research method, which involves comparing two or more cases or variables to identify patterns, similarities, and differences. I learned how to analyze findings critically and interpret data in a meaningful way. I was also introduced to useful research tools such as Open Knowledge Maps and Connected Papers, which helped me discover relevant literature and understand the connection between studies. Through this, I gained better insight into how to conduct literature analysis and strengthen the theoretical framework of my research.

Week 3, I was introduced to Mendeley, a useful tool for managing references and generating accurate citations. I learned how to import, organize, and cite research articles properly in my writing. This skill is very important for maintaining academic integrity and avoiding plagiarism. Additionally, I began to understand the significance of proper referencing in supporting arguments and acknowledging other researchers’ work. Apart from that, I also reviewed past research papers to understand different writing styles and citation techniques, which helped me improve my own research writing.
