What was your focus? What did you learn from researching? Conclusion?

My focus was to get the students to use the information and apply it to their critical reasoning skills and make a educated guess about what they think could have truly happened to Earhart based off events and her timelines. I learned from the sources that it provides multiple perspectives and insights into her life from all contexts and backgrounds. It provides a diverse set of information for students to formulate questions of their own as well. I can conclude that though we will never have an exact answer for what happened we know that we can have the ability to think like a historian, view the changes over time, and pose questions from quality research, all great skills for all elementary grades.
