I brush my teeth, and I have a shower at 6:10. a.m.  I have breakfast at 6:30 and finally I dry my hair and make up at 6:45 a.m. after that I leave home around 7 a.m.

I work in Sogamoso at UPTC so I drive 45 minutes in my car every day

I start work at 8 o’clock. I have classes from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m.

I have lunch with my co-workers in a restaurant near to university at 12:30

In the afternoon, I finish the class at 6 o’clock and then I go to my home in Duitama,

All Mondays, I have meetings with my boss and co-workers. The rest of the week I have class or tutorials about classes

My family and I have dinner at about 7 p.m.

In the evening I check the quizzes, exams and other activities from my students.

Finally, I brush my teeth and go to bed around 10 p.m. every night; and that’s my daily routine during the week.

On THE WEEKENDS, I’m early bird and usually I get up at 6:30 a.m. and I pray 30 minutes.

I go to ride bike or walking at 7 a.m. after that I have breakfast at 9 a.m.

I have a shower around 10 a.m.

From 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 I like to read, check the news and my e-mail

I cook at 1 p.m. with my family, we like to cook some soup, meal, salad and dessert

I have lunch with my family around 2 p.m.

In the afternoon, I relax in my home, I like watching tv or movie. On Sunday we always go out from Duitama and we go to Paipa and eat a delicious dessert. We just like to walk and see people.

On Sunday at night, I always do a check list about my activities for the following week.

Finally, I brush my teeth and go to bed around 9 p.m.

On Saturday, he usually is a night owl so he wakes up at 8:00 a.m. and he gets up 8:20 a.m.

He brushes his teeth at 8:30 a.m. and he has breakfast at 9 a.m.

From 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. he does break or sometimes he rides a bike

He loves to cook at 1 p.m. he likes to eat beef and fries

In the afternoon, he usually goes to meet with his friends

At night, he has dinner at 8 p.m. after that he watches tv or movies

Finally, he goes to bed around middle night

On Sunday, he gets up at 8:00 a.m.  he brushes his teeth and takes a shower at 8:30 a.m.

He has breakfast at 9:00 a.m. and he goes to church at 9:30 a.m

In the afternoon, he goes out from home at 2 p.m. and he goes to visit different towns near to Duitama and he has lunch at 3 p.m.

At night, he has dinner at 8 p.m. and he watch tv at 9 p.m

Finally he go to bed 11 p.m.

I was born on 19 august 1984 in Duitama-Boyacá.

My parents are Nelly and Pedro, and I have one brother, his name is Cesar, he is older than me.

I studied elementary and high school in Duitama.

When I was a young girl I enjoyed doing different activities, I met with friends, went to parties, played volleyball, and ride a bikecicle.

After that I moved to Bogota, and I studied in Universidad Nacional.

When I was a college, I was a “monitor” I enjoyed teaching subjects like finance, auditing and math

I am a public accountant, and I have a master’s degree in corporate finance

I worked in Investigation Center for Development for two years, I started working when I was in the seventh semester of university

After I graduated from university, I worked in Bogota’s Bank, my responsibilities were making the budget, projections and results reports for the senior managers

Today, I am a professor and I work at university in Sogamoso

Also, sometimes I work advising (asesorar) companies about investment and financial decisions

In 2024 I was co-founder of Women-Pro Foundation and participated in angel financial initiatives at Colombia.

Today, I spend my time teaching, taking care my father and traveling. I am single but I have a relationship with Diego, and we are thinking about getting married soon.

About my personality, I am calm, intelligent and polite because I am a teacher so it is very important to educate my students. In my relationship with my boyfriend I’m a cheerful, cautious, relaxed, loving, loyal and sincere. And my boyfriend is sociable, down to earth, easygoing, intelligent, cheerful, generous and adventurous. Together we are a good team!

Berlin: Germany’s capital is Berlin. It has contrasts between historical and modern architecture and it’s a perfect harmony. The streets are wide and orderly. In downtown, there are historical landmarks like the Brandenburg Gate and the Berlin Wall. Those places are the busier in the city. Also, the iconic TV Tower at Alexander Platz is the most famous place because it’s best viewer point in the city, while the Museum Island showcases different cultural treasures. The city is cosmopolitan. The locals are diverse and open-minded. It is multicultural spirit. Berlin has trendy cafes and places very nice. The atmosphere is creative and dynamic.

Cartagena: It is the most popular city in Colombia. It’s located on Caribbean coast. Its beaches are busy. The downtown is picturesque and historical because the walls tell centuries of stories. Its streets and colorful colonial houses are  adorned with flowers and it’s so beautiful. Also, there’re historical places as San Felipe de Barajas Castle, the Plaza de los Coches, Plaza Santodomingo, and others. They always are filled with music and activities. The people of Cartagena are warm, joyful, and welcoming, and you can feel the vibrant Caribbean spirit. Outside the walls, the Getsemaní neighborhood shines with its street art and bohemian style. Nearby beaches, such as those in Bocagrande or the Rosario Islands. The beaches offer a perfect blend of culture and tropical paradise. The city’s atmosphere combines romance, history, and the festive rhythm of the Caribbean.

Villa de Leiva: It’s a charming colonial town in the heart of Boyacá. The architecture is fascinating. It has been preserved as narrow streets lead to historic churches, fascinating museums like the Fossil Museum, and colorful artisanal markets and its atmosphere is serene. Its huge main square is surrounded by white houses with wooden balconies. It’s the largest in Latin America. The landscapes offer natural wonders such as the Candelaria Desert and Iguaque Lagoon. It’s perfect for hiking and nature lovers. The locals are warm and welcoming, proud to share the rich history and culture of their town. Villa de Leyva’s atmosphere blends peace with an air of tradition and mysticism

It is the study of money over time, in other words: having an amount of money today and after some time, receiving capital with an additional portion of money, this is called interest. So, financial mathematics studies the transfer of capital over time.

There are two types of interest rate, Nominal and Effective Interest rate.

• The nominal rate: means that the principal assigned will earn interest only once during the period. In other words, there is only one capitalization and the interest does not earn interest.

• The effective rate: means that the interest generated “interest on interest”, also known as the power     compound interest. There are different frequencies, for example, daily, monthly, quarterly and annually.  

Knowing about it, you can understand operations of credit and saving.

Financial Risk

It is the probability of a negative event occurring that will cause an economic loss to a company. This subject, students must learn to calculated the risk before deciding to make an investment.

It is essential to quantify the risk for every investment to be made. Finally, depending on the risk, it will be decided whether to accept or reject it.

Risk is related to profitability. The higher the risk, the higher the profitability, and the lower the risk, the lower the profitability. It is important to understand that depending on the profile of the company or person investing, it will be decided to accept a greater or lesser number of risks.

There are 4 types of risks that can be quantified: market, credit, liquidity and operational risk. Also, there are others risks that cannot be quantified, for example: legal, reputational and model risk.

In summary, financial risk is the probability that an investment made by a company will not generate the expected return that has been estimated, and it may even generate losses.

Investment Bank

It is an intermediary service between someone who needs money for a project and who would be interested in investing in it. An investment bank must construct and analyze different financial scenarios to help its clients make the best investment and financing decisions for their assets.

Students learn how to make financial models that meet the financing or investment needs of large-scale projects.

The very large projects, such as the construction of a highway, a hospital, a port, an airport, etc.

Investment bank is a financial institution specialized in raising funds from institutional investors and funds for individuals, companies or governments to obtain financing for their projects. For example, entrepreneurs need money for their projects and the investment bank tries to put them in contact with investors. They have the available capital. They can be individuals or corporations.

Stock Markt

The stock markets are organized structures to exchange financial assets, such as stock, bonds, currencies and derivates. The participants are individuals, companies and public institutions. These markets facilitate the flow of capital between savers (investors) and users of resources (companies or governments).

Financial markets can be classified by type of asset: stocks and bonds, forex (foreign exchange market), derivatives and commodities market.

Students learn how to select the most profitable assets possible according to the level of risk of the client. To build the investment portfolio, the historical behavior of each asset is studied and by the use of statistical tools the most probable profitability is estimated.

The boss handed in a document with the contacts of some international professors. I saved it in my bag. But the last weekend I didn’t find it. I thought that I throw away the contacts.  I was worried but after two days I looked up. I put away on my brother’s desk. Finally, I am working and going over the check list.
