One night on halloween.Kids were out trick or treating,but me?, i don’t do that well not anymore at least. I sat in my room on my phone my halloween costume beside me torned up and covered in mud.”Abby” my brother jack said “Come here,btw  me and my friends are going out to the haunted house!” “Can you get the trick or treaters candy?!” I went down stairs and said sure and grab a blow and filled it with candy. Than i sat on the couch watching Tv. “Bye Abby” said Jack.

“See ya later jack” i said. He went out with his friends and i continued watching tv and giving out candy.

After the last of the candy was gone i turned off the lights and ate dinner.I stayed up late since it was a friday,I looked at the clock at it was 1Am and jack wasn’t home yet. I looked outside to see if he was there and he wasn’t so i grabbed my jacket and went outside and went to the haunted house they went to and i saw his friends but not him so i went over to them

“Alex where's jack?” i said to alex who i knew and my brother knew since kindergarten.”I dont know when we got out he was just gone” Alex said.What?! I thought,I went into the haunted house and since it was over the lights were on.I talked to the workers and the people who scared the people who went into the haunted house, if they saw where he went,they all said no idea. The only place i could think of was the woods

“Abby you can’t go into the woods it’s too dangerous!” Alex said,”i gotta find my brother alex he might get hurt or worse” I said and i marched into the woods.I look around and only saw the twilight of the moon glowing onto the ground.Then i saw foot prints then started following them till they stopped at a slope where i saw jack’s costume and his necklace..Oh no i thought then i slowly went down the slope and saw jack laying face in dirt i called alex and his friends over and we all picked him up and brought him home. He was scratched up he had a burnt symbol on his arm that was a knife.”That’s the knife sign” said one of the guys “There has been people who had that symbol on their arm or their leg,and they remember being chased then everything was a blur.”  I looked at him in a confused look “How do you know this?” i asked “Well,it happened to my sister she is fine now though,but she didn’t wake up till later i think it happened a long-ish time ago” he said.We all brought him up to bed and we set him down.I closed the door and went downstairs,i said goodbye to his friends.

An hour has past and jack came downstairs,”Ow meh head,Abby what happen?” jack said

“Nothing you just hit your head and me and your friends brought you home and mom and dad went to bed” i said “Uh...Ok i guess” said jack.He sat next to me and we started eating candy that we hid for ourselves and watched tv.Then we heard a knock at the door,we knew everyone has gone home because the trick or treaters were all gone.We looked at each other then the door.I got up and tiptoed over to th

I back away from the door and told him everything that happen,then we went upstairs and hid in my room.5 minutes later they started banging on the door.I looked at my brother he acted calm and got up locked the door “Find anything that you can to barricade it.” he said,I nodded and got up and pushed my dresser in front of the door as my brother looked outside to still see the man walking around on our lawn.

“When is he going to leave?,He knows our parents are here so why is he here??” I said,Jack Shrugged and he looked at his arm the knife on his arm was gone! We both looked at each other then his arm and i started screaming to myself and jack is perfectly calm! Then we went under my bed and it was quiet for a few minutes and then we hear the door break down.

My heart was pounding loudly as me and my brother try to look for a way out before he gets to my room,because me and him think he has a weapon.We went through the window and climb the roof and sat on top.My brother kept his guard up,and me? I stared at the bright fullmoon.My then i heard my door break down and i saw the man look out the window but he didn’t look up.

So looked at my brother than the man and he went backinside and i saw him leave our house into the woods and i thought,’I hate halloween’

Little did we know that we where not the only ones in this dark and cold rain forest.We Made our way into the dark temple (shed). As we made our way into the temple (shed) we hear something but don't see any thing so we turn on the flashlight.Then before we can turn it on something snatches it and turns it on and scares us.It is a monster.We run out of the shed and it chase us to the house.But then the monster takes off his head at first we where confused then we see my dad head so we came out of the jungle and where laughing so hard we fell over. after we had a snack then we went to go rake the leaves and jumped in them with the monster of the jungle. Me And my friend said that was a good story and laughed.after we had a snack we raked leaves and jumped in them. Without the monster.But my great grandpa  did mention that the monster is still alive.
