-Young children are given the space and time to explore and figure things out for themselves in the safe and loving environment of the kindergarten. In this way they build their confidence, inner strength and resilience
-Not too much is explained, no instructions are given but rather 'Imitation' is the greatest teacher for the young child.
-Through the teacher's (or caregiver's) love and support, the adult holds the child in a loving authority. The child is given the space to have freedom, but is still held in very clear boundaries. The children are guided, rather than taught with instructions.
-Child is given enough time to play and process their experiences outside of school, through their play.
-Time given to explore in nature and to form a deep relationship with the natural world. Early childhood experiences in nature nurture their senses -particularly the lower senses for the young child. The find the boundaries of their body and challenge themselves.
-As the teacher we have to give them the freedom, yet also make sure that they are safe. A fine balance is needed -just the right amount of challenge that is not too risky/dangerous.
-The learning that comes from hardship/discomfort. Allow the child to experience a range of feelings. Our classroom is the safe space for them to work through sadness, rejection, learning to share, negotiate, assert oneself.
-Our will as the teacher is what creates the loving boundaries for the children.
-Play has the opportunity for the building of inner strength and resilience.

-Problem encountered:
Parents often try to smooth everything for their children and fear them feeling discomfort/something challenging. Children then miss the vital opportunity for growth. It is only through hardship or resistance that we as humans grow and develop. It is unfortunate that parents don't see this as a gift for growth/and chance to strengthen oneself.
