In Rome's government, Most of its laws were made by the assemblies. They citizens who were in the assembly recommended the laws and were passed if the other members agreed. However, the other branches could make laws as well. They were enforced by Praetors or judges who were responsible for administrating justice in Rome. They dealt with crimes using the 12 tables, or Rome's laws written on 12 stone tablets. These laws helped Rome's government greatly. But, the Romans had Vigiles whom were kind of like police around Rome, and helped with Rome's crimes.
Information from:
https://www.ducksters.com/history/ancient_rome/roman_law.php

The Romans were not just influenced by the Greeks in Architecture by in art as well. Wall paintings were usually used to decorate the interior of large buildings, and were painted straight on to the wall. These paintings range from simple to highly realistic. Wall paintings could even go to the ceiling of a structure! Most wall paintings use darker and more natural colors, this gives the painting a more bold affect. In Roman wall paintings the only limit is the artist's imagination.
Information from:
https://www.ancient.eu/Roman_Art/
