A curriculum includes other materials and resources to assist in learning. A curriculum should be developed with the end result in mind. It should also be developed by a group of professionals such as administrators and teacher. I believe that school also serves other purposes aside from teaching students how to be "book smart". School should also teach children how to handle social interactions. Of course certain people have the role of making certain decisions such as curriculum, but all of those people should be able to have a way to voice their opinion on what the students need to learn. All students are different and they do not learn the same way. My role also includes modifying the curriculum to meet each students needs if necessary. The programs sometimes do not align with my philosophy because a lot of the students that I teach are extremely low.
