They are expected to be, at minimum, good providers of their own family.And whatever money men do bring in, it better be more than the women in their lives make. Whether they're rich CEOs or blue-collar Joes or comfy middle-class guys in between, making less money than their wives or girlfriends makes their masculinity suspect at best.
Obstacles: Some of the obstacles of being ,ale are that males have the problem of having to bring in and work for all the food in the house, not to be the ones that cook it
