The detailed timeline chronicles every piece of information, including names of figures, dates of events, etc. It was believed that witchcraft was against God's will, and it was allowing the devil to rule. Much of the belief that was followed to prosecute these people was full of red herrings. The most simple act that seemed relatively out of the ordinary could cost someone their life. It also talks about how the term of ‘witch’ came from wise women who practiced old world traditions were label as witches and heretics by the Christian church. There were a couple of people who were brought in to speak in the documentary, most of these people were pagan priests/princesses, modern day witches and witch doctors. These people would be sharing their biases instead of actual fact. This documentary was funded and presented by the national film board of Canada; which means that all information gathered in this documentary was fully researched and based off of fact.

This website deals this the idea of 'healers' (homeopaths) and how they were not seen as witches, but viewed as doctors. This main purpose of the book was to serve as a tool for the identification and prosecution of witches. The book was also written to express the author's view on witchcraft, so it was never based on the actuality of witches being real, just on a couple of peoples ideas of the topic. In the video it also talks about how the book was written to” discredit those who express skepticism” about the existence of witches. Resurrection was believed to be a common power witches possessed, for both themselves, and others. Crowds would gather, showing little to no mercy for those who hung, or those whose bodies were up in flames in the middle of the town. There was a strong bias behind these murders. A bias that was fed by figures of authority. People believed what they were told by those in positions of power, and let those in positions of power put them in a state of fear. Fear led them to framing their loved ones, and those close to them. The religious confirmation bias caused people to frame others for things they'd seen people be burned for, and pit people against each other.
