He painted people doing everyday things his paintings were mainly boring and sad. he really liked to use brown tan and dark colors. he painted women. and most of the background isn't finished. most of his artwork painted women dancing or ironing and they are sad.

I noticed that he is always using rough texture, always painting women, most of the women are hidden or looking down, he paints everyday tasks, he also uses a lot of warm colors, and he always lets the canvas shine through. He portrays the women as workers. I wonder why he only paints girls and women.

I think the theme is women. I think he respects the women because they do hard work. I think he wanted to share his beliefs to the world so they respect women as well. Maybe he thought women should have equal rights.

Most of degas art work he does not show faces of the people he shows scenery and what the person is doing .Most of his artwork is women. He shows the hard life of women . And how women are under rated.

Eleanor fegler, he tended to use dark colors and did simple everyday things not anything fancy. He tended to do a fast and rough look with a gloomy feeling. He also did not really draw eyes in detail except in his self portrait. He makes it seem like they should have more rights or be treated more fairly. So i think he respects them because he could have been trying to sway peoples opinions about woman or made it seem like they deserve harder work? i am not really sure about it.

Degas' did not make pictures of grand people and you either can't see the expression or the expression is not excited or bright. His art style is not extremely bright and happy it is more brownish and serious. His art shows that women are maybe hardworking and he wants to respect that?

I see that most of his paintings are either girls ironing or girls in ballet class. I also see that all of the are hard working. I think he respects girls because I think he is painting these to show girls are hardworking.

Degas art style is that he likes to let the canvas show through and the people in his paintings mostly have there heads down, to make it easier to paint. Degas respects women, so he wants to show that women do lots of hard work, and women should get the rights as men.
