To start my primary research, I shared out a survey to help with my album artwork. I gained some pretty good ideas like colours and images/themes. The reason I chose to base my survey on album artwork is because when I started this project I knew I wanted to have an album cover art however, I had no idea so this survey would help me gain ideas for the album art work.

These answers were useful in some ways as it gave me various ideas on what to do, however answers like rainbow, lesbians, and me and ur mum may have been funny but for research it wasn't helpful at all. the reason those answers weren't helpful was because it didn't give me any ideas. what I learnt from these responses are that they even themselves out between the good and the bad, like between discrimination and rainbows. But, majority was quite negative views like : grey skies, abandonment, loneliness, struggle, rejection, discrimination, and storms. Now I understand where they are coming from as maybe social media has influenced those decisions.

the answers for my second question were helpful, as I saw that majority of colours were red so that really helped getting a visual on what the main colour could be .

I really enjoyed these responses as it was really enjoyable for me to look into each of the respondents album covers. They were filled with bright colours and various artistic techniques.

I wrote a song analysis sheet of this song as it's the inspiration of one of my songs I'll be planning on producing. This process helps with the music aspect of the songs, as I can rely/ draw inspiration from this when I'm producing and creating the song. This also gave me an insight on the different production techniques used within the song, which then I can incorporate into my production. I chose this song as its from my favourite show, and it also is in the desired genre that ill produce my songs in. When listening to this song, I had many various ideas for my song that will be inspired by 'Fantastic'.

I also wrote a song analysis sheet of this song as its on one of the songs taken form my inspiration playlist. This process was somewhat complicated as there was tons of chords fr me to figure out, and also rhythmically there's a lot going on in terms instruments. The reason I chose to analyse this song as it's from one of my favourite lesbian artists songs, despite it being one of her recent releases.

This was the first take I recorded of Shayden doing the drums. This was a very rough take as this was his first time doing even though this was a great take in my opinion however the tempo of this take was a bit slower but it's an easy fix anyways.

Reading through this article of one of my inspiration artists for my project, I got inspired to push through stereotypical boundaries within music, as well as being gay within the industry as she said “In the beginning, I was a bit like, I’m just an artist, stop being like, ‘Gay!’” she says. “But now that I’ve gone further into my career, I’ve realised how important that is for other people.”. This really inspired me as there arena a lot of women and gay women in the industry. The reason I chose this article as because I was reading through it I felt drawn and within my songwriting I wanted to paint the picture of lesbian relationships, for the music industry to expand and for people to relate.

This article was an interview about her single 'Now Now' and it talks about the background story of the lyrics and the reason on how she came about producing it as she's a producer and sound engineer too. I chose this as the artist really dives into lesbian relationships and encounters, which I wanted to embed in my own project.

King Princess Interview Article

This article talks about her being part of the LGBTQIA+ community and how she's struggled with her identity, especially being within the industry but its a good thing it didn't impact her career in any way, but it expanded her fanbase. I chose this article to read because she's the inspiration for my first song and I love her approach to being gay and within the music industry. This helped give me an insight that everyones stories on accepting themselves is different, so I wanted to reflect that element in my songwriting.
