He is open about his struggles and reflects that throughout his two albums "Swimming" and "Circles". I agree that his music has an impact on those who share similar struggles. Through his writing, Mac expressed his feelings and emotions on his struggles and how he sees the possibility of being at peace with himself. The song may not be appealing to those who can't relate to mental health, addiction, or yearning for a sense of belonging. I relate to his struggles with mental health and needing "a way out of my head" and "doing anything for a way out". I feel heard by this song and listen to it on repeat whenever I'm down. Mac Miller was and still is an influential person to me because of his talent and ability to express himself through music.
