It is a very aggressive and loud style of music. Though I don't particularly enjoy it, I took time to research the opinions of people who do. I always figured that screamo music would do nothing but fuel the listener's anger. However, I found that its audience actually find relief and feel happier after listening to it, most likely due to the fact that they are able to release that anger and emotional pain in listening to it. It's lyrics usually cover topics such as emotional pain, politics, and human rights; topics that can be very heavy. This allows them a release. Their community usually identifies as emo and has a very distinctive style that is not like mine at all. I understand the point of the music and can respect why people enjoy it, but my perspective has not changed much.
