One teacher can describe theoretically all aspects of a phenomenon, can provide tons of theoretical information, however, to be there, to touch, feel, see, smell, hear is irreplaceable. The theory is the basis, the frame for understanding the physical world, but education should provide every possible opportunity to today's children who live in apartments and are in front of screens all the time, to get in touch with nature, love it and protect it.

Today I have seen paradise with different inhabitants - in and on the water, on land and in the sky. I wish I could convey this beauty of nature to my students in the hope that they will learn to appreciate it.
I also see these differences in students and consider them as an added value for their individual learning progress.

Sometimes it is necessary to jump out of the boat to leave the comfort zone. And then you will dive deep into the hidden treasures of the nature and other interesting things.

We learnt how the landscape can change dramatically because of a hurricane. Nature is affected but finds its own devices to survive, and what we saw today is still awesome to our eyes.
In other cases, like the recent earthquake in Turkey and Syria the human death toll has been tremendously high and there is human responsabilities there. The landscape there is apocalyptic and you can't foresee any quick rebirth.
However, despite this inevitable reflection, the majestic power of nature and the beauty of the flora and fauna of today fill the heart with emotions and the mind with inspired thoughts concerning the mechanics of nature. The teacher, also, finds many educational sources for study cases based on reality, but that is work and it is the matter of another session....

Today I have learned nature Is perfect without the human interference and developing in our students the sense of belonging and the respect for Natural beauties around us should be One of our pririoties as Teachers!

The nature is a perfect representation of what a very beautiful mind can make.
Today we saw an amazing ecosystem, all things was perfect: the mangroves, the seabirds, the blue lagoon, the coral barrier, the littles islands, the fishes, we stayed all together in our natural house.
My heart was absolutely upset by the beauty that I could enjoy.
Furthermore to see the nature beauty was a good step to purify my mind; today was a very perfect day.

Today I have learned that we should enjoy every single moment and the beauty of nature. Having a lot of time on a little island makes it possible and forces us at the same time to sit there, to watch, to speak with the colleagues and to realise how small we are in that ocean. A very nice experience in a little paradise.

Today I learned that every coin has two sides and that the nature can be terrible, the sun can give life and can burn, but I also learned that you have to live all the experiences and when you feel uncomfortable it's important to have a support, that is my idea of a community. Thanks to all friends for helping me through a difficult time.

While people were watching the coral reef I saw a mermaid 🧜‍♀️… if you look at the picture attentively you will see it too ;)

Today i learned that Grand Cul-de-Sac Marine is exceptional lagoon classified World Biosphere reserve by UNESCO. There are several major ecosystems, like mangroves, swamp forests, seagrass beds and coral reef.
Mangroves are well adapt to salty water, there are only 4 real mangrove trees- black, red, yellow and white. The red one get its name from the bright red colour of the wood. It has aerial prop roots.
The coral barrier turns a large marine area into the lagoon becoming a protective area for thousands of animal and plant species. It has important role in protecting the shoreline from erosive effect of waves.

The Gran Cul- de-Sac Marin is a wonderful natural reserve. On an area there are several major ecosystems: mangroves, seagrass beds and a coreal reef with very important ecological functions. I believe that each of us has a great responsability; to preserve the environment and experience all its beauty in harmony with other human beings.

Today's educational visit to the islands of corals, mangroves and sands in the middle of the ocean was a great experience. As a member of the Erasmus Team I lived unique moments, as I shared knowledge, opinions, experiences. Swimming in unknown and shallow waters, dangers related to corals, knowledge about mangrove plants and traditional food were among the most important new experiences.
