         <description><![CDATA[<div>Angelman Syndrome, also know as Happy Puppet Disease and AS, is a nuero-genetic disorder that mostly effects the nervous system. Angelman syndrome usually causes children to be very happy and excitable but as they grow older the excitement calms down.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>There are many symptoms for Angelman Syndrome among children that include: delays in the child's development, a very happy personality, a lack of speech and  in infants, seizures. The first signs of AS usually show before a child's first birthday with delays in the childs development. Then later on when the child is a toddler the seizures start to occur.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>As of now March, 2018 there is no known cure for Angelman Syndrome however, there are ways to manage it. There are four ways to manage the syndrome: People can take anti-seizure medication to help control their seizures, to help with their motor skills and movement they can take physical therapy, communication therapy is an option to help with the speech problems, and finally behavior therapy to help with the excitability, short attention spans and also, it helps develop the person. The patient could also participate in clinical trials to help find a cure.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>As far as life expectancy there are no side effects, most people with AS live for an average amount of time. However, people with AS can have feeding problems, hyperactivity, sleeping disorders, scoliosis, and obesity.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Most of the Angelman Syndrome results in the loss of the UBE3A gene. Furthermore AS can be caused when a person gets an extra copy of Chromosome 15 from the father however it is rare. Most of the Angelman Diagnosis' are caused from the deletion of a part of the Chromosome 15. It can also be caused by translocation (chromosomal rearrangement) and the mutation of the part that controls the activation of the UBE3A gene.</div>]]></description>
