While Checking all the links given to us, I meticulously look for an exhibit that can also reflect on myself. Understanding bias and building awareness is one step towards real change. Taking ECE as my course, I learned things about diversity and anti-bias. I believed that we should start them young and practice this advocacy in our daily living.

Today, I am a big fan of Equity, Diversity, and Anti-bias. This morning activity while browsing MOCA (Museum of Contemporary Art). I can see how they acknowledge each artist's skills, talents, and interests. It will also promote inclusion and, involvement allows each artist to attain his or her full potential. I can see how their exhibitions and public programmes represent their variety. I admire how they brought together a broad group of artists intending to promote diverse art/exhibitions. A guided museum tour is also available at MOCA. It's a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to increase visitors' understanding of diversity, equity, and anti-bias.

I really like that this studio has a pay what you can option. They also have free options. It allows most families to partake in the activite. They believe that everyone is an artist and everyone should have the ability to express themselves creatively. I find it inspiring the importance they put on connecting with their community. I like that they are inspired by the Community Art Movement. This is a movement that stems from secret schools that African Americans created during the civil war, when they did not have their own spaces and gathered in secret because it was not allowed.

On AGO’s website, there is printable colouring pages of some of the art in the AGO. I think that these printable colouring pages allow the kids to feel connected to the art in the museum. There’s a lot of meaningful activities that I think could go along with these colouring pages. I think a museum can feel overwhelming as a kid, but having pages to colour of the art, and than maybe going and looking at the original art, gives children a chance to compare their art and reflect on the differences and the similarities.

My inspiration after visiting Five Kid Friendly Virtual Museum is that these museums are offering so many things to learn like, archeology, history and, sports for children and adults as well. The amazing thing is, children can learn art work and so many information about ballet virtually which will help them to practice at home and improve them.

An experience that inspired me was in the Inspired by museums article from the NAEYC. The article explains how children can create their exhibitions in their communities. It also mentions how we educators can include it into the curriculum. It inspired me to bring this experience to an early childhood centre and how meaningful it would be to the children. Also, after reading the "Five Kid-Friendly Virtual Museum Exhibits In Toronto" article, I was inspired to create an exhibition related to my talents. The article mentions that the national ballet of Canada has a virtual museum. When I was in high school, I majored in dance, and I got to see many of the national ballet productions on stage and behind the scenes. The national ballet shows tell a story through dance, and only dance, without dialogue. The article inspired me to involve dance in children's art exhibitions because dance is another form of art, and it can also tell a story through movements. If they were learning about storytelling, I could show them the National ballet museum and then they can apply what they learned to their dance exhibition to use movements to tell their own story.
-Tia Beete (101248771)

Not only that they can express themselves, but they can also learn new way to do it. The museum provides the children the chance to experience animating, sculpting and performing, inventing, sketching, and even explore music and sounds. Through this, children could discover new ways of expressing and find which way is the best for them.

An image of Art Gallery Of Ontario from Five Kid-Friendly Virtual Museum Exhibits caught my eyes because a child was left-handed. When I was a kid I was left-handed. While many say left-handed person has developed right brain, my dominant hand was corrected by my mother since childhood. Currently, I use both hand. In other words, I may use both brain at same level. Generally, people say such person as “cross-dominance.” I think it depends on parents whether they correct the dominant hand or not. I was just wondering the correction have influence on characteristics of child or not by correcting the dominant hand.

It's also rewarding as when you are done the activity chose, you can share the work in the gallery below which I find it very beneficial for children and boosting their self esteem and confidence.

When I was listening to the background context of her work, I related to the artist’s immigrant experience. Traill was originally from London, but she settled in Ontario. She wrote about many things including how she settled here and about natural history. She was particularly interested in botany.

As an international student who just arrived last spring, I was also inspired by the many flowers and wildlife available here. Although the flowers I’ve seen so far had very vivid and striking colors, her art pieces seem more washed out.

In my understanding, Traill and Agness Dunbar Moodie Fitzgibbon produced several book with art pieces of different wildflowers in Canada. In the earlier productions, the flowers looked a bit pale. I supposed it’ because of the art materials available at that time. As they reproduced those templates, they changed some of the designs and color. More striking lines and colors were used.

Overall, I understand the feeling of capturing the beauty of the prolific flowers here.

Based on related experience, this "Children's creativity museum" website is interesting to read. I have worked at the steam education center with the children. We have to make an environment for children to improve their creativity. I learned various methods for children's creativity through this site, such as robot coding and imagination. When I do robot coding or make something with the children, I observed that children improve problem-solving skills, confidence, and creativity by finding the solution to the educator's open-ended questions. Moreover, it is so interesting that children express what they want to represent in their own way.
