1. This podcast could be incorporated into a lesson about the specific techniques and history behind the production of brass instruments. The lesson could also be beneficial to incorporate real life experiences of famous brass players and their own journey in music. This lesson will be on how to produce a richer, clearer tone with their brass instruments, thus being able to use proper technique to blend with their peers in Band class.

2. By the end of this lesson, students will evaluate the elements of how to approach their brass instruments to achieve a richer tone in their playing.
3.

I would incorporate this podcast in the middle of the Music Literacy lesson. At the beginning of the Music Literacy lesson I will teach the students solfege and we will practice a few sight reading examples using solfege. After we have done this, the class will listen to the podcast to get more tips and tricks in how to successfully sight read with accuracy. This would provide additional support for the students as we begin learning about music literacy.

By the end of the lesson students will know how to implement at least one ear-training tip into their Music Literacy practice.

Podcast Information:

Podcast Name: Music Student 101

Episode: 04 (currently there are 97 episodes in the podcast).

Available: Apple podcasts, Spotify, Stitcher, iHeart, and YouTube.

Voki Link:
