Infancy

I don’t remember much from this stage, but my parents say I was a happy baby who smiled a lot and rarely cried. I felt safe and calm whenever I was held, especially by my mom, dad, or my Yaya Rosie. She was my caregiver since I was 8 months old until now! They gave me a sense of security since I was a baby, which made me trusting.

Early Childhood

As a maldita toddler, I loved trying to do things on my own like feeding myself or choosing my clothes, even if it didn’t match. I was curious and most of the time stubborn, which led to my growing independence. These small choices made me feel confident in my abilities.

Preschool

I was 5 in this picture. This was when I started asking a lot of questions and enjoyed playing pretend games like “benta-benta”. I loved leading playtime like hide and seek or tag with friends and coming up with new game ideas. This stage helped me develop creativity and initiative, although I sometimes felt guilty when I made mistakes, especially when I get scolded about it.

Elementary

In elementary school, I did not care much about my studies. But I wasn't totally neglecting it, I would still study when there's exams. I focused more on playing volleyball and having fun with friends. However, I sometimes compared myself to others, which made me doubt myself a little.

Adolescence

During my teenage years, I started exploring my values, beliefs, started to look for who I really am. I experimented with different hobbies, friend groups, and even personal styles. Surprisingly, I would adapt to various friend groups with different humors. Most of the time, I am unsure of myself. Until now, I still don't know my plans yet. In this stage of life, I'm yet to find out what path I truly want to take on.

1. Was the subject Personal Development helpful for you? How did this subject help you know yourself more?

This subject was extremely helpful to me because it allowed me to reflect on questions I had about myself. It helped me understand how I felt, how my family situation affects me, and why I express and receive love in certain ways. I learned more about my values and personal growth through the activities and discussions in class.

2. What were your key takeaways from the subject?

I realized the importance of self-awareness and understanding how relationships and personal experiences shape who I am. I also learned practical ways to improve my personal growth, communication, and emotional well-being.

3. What two topics were your favorites and why?

My favorite topics were Personal and Social Relationships and Family Structures. I enjoyed these topics because they helped me understand how people interact and affect each other, and they provided insight into my own family dynamics and personal relationships with others.
