I predict that based on the clues hidden in the text that Tor and Anooka may fight about Anooka's new talent, carving, as he seems to be one with the clans ways. I already know that Anooka can mend very well, and carve, against clan religion. Anooka and Nomi have no mother which may be a big part of this book, since we know that Durgun already is trying to avoid her questions about her mother, as well as her father, Tor, doesn't seem to be very exited about that subject either. His quick temper may result in a fight between them. It doesn't help for Anooka that she gets flashes of her mother every now and then. Talking about her mother with her father doesn't seem like the greatest idea. In conclusion Anooka and her father may have a fight about her carving resulting in Anooka having to make the big decision seen on the side of the book.

As we read through the book, we have found many pieces of drama that show the character development as Anooka becomes a woman. Based so far by what we have read, we now know that Lulaq was her mother's name, and she used to have a brother named Chee, who was supposedly attacked by a leopard. I think this may be character misdirection though, as many authors do this technique when trying to mislead the reader. Since we always are getting new information, sometimes our brains forget what is a fact, and opinion. We also now know that all adults took a vow to never speak of Lulaq and Chee again. There may a conflict between some of the adults when Anooka tries to pry some information
out of them. I can also infer based on the picture in front, that Anooka will start carving more animals suchas a crane, and maybe a fox? Perhaps she will encounter these animals later in the book as we see her holding the bear carving that she has already made.

Question 4
Anooka's life is very different from my life. First of all Anooka lives in the end of the Stone Age and I live in the 21 century.Anooka lives in a clearing in the Woods and I live in a house and I go to school and Anooka works to help out the Salmon Clan. Another way is that our life is different is.Anooka has very different clothing from me her clothing is hand sewed and mine I buy and a store and she hunts for food and uses a harpoon and knife to hunt and we got tothe store and uses money. They have to bath in the rive and we just jump in the shower air bathtub. Anooka's life is very different than my life.

Question 3
Some qualities that make Anooka admiral is that she is all for girl power and she is adventures. Anooka is all for girls power because Anooka does not want to get married she wants to be free. Anooka likes to sculpt little animals out of clay but she is not allowed to only the Shama is allowed to sculpt the spirits of the animals. But Anooka does it any ways. Her dad is very strict so it is hard for her to be adventures but she still goes out. Anooka found a cave that no one knows about and that is where she sculpt. But her dad finds out about the cave. And that are some old Anooka's character traits.

My life is SOOO much different than anooka because I don't have to hunt I just to to Ralph's or trader joes. Also I don't have a clan and don't have to marry anyone. Also I don't make clothes out of bearskin or something. It's also different because i have electronics like an iPhone or a computer. Plus anooka lives in the Stone Age and this is 2016. Another way our lives are different is that anooka bathed in a river and she had no soap back then so I imagine she didnt get very clean. Meanwhile I just go in a shower that actually has soap.

One quality that makes Anooka admirable is she wants to carve and carves even though she is not allowed. This shows a lot of courage. Another quality that makes Anooka admirable is when Durgun dies she cares to dress nicely at his funeral. Also she buries him with a clay bear that means a lot to her. This shows that she is respectful.

4) Compare and contrast your MAIN CHARACTER's life to YOUR life.

My life is way different then Anooka's life in several ways. The first way is that when I want food to eat I can just go up and grab food in my kitchen. On the other hand Anooka can't just grab food whenever she wants. In the Stone Age they didn't have thing like refrigerators and cabinets stored with food. Anooka has to hunt for her food with harpoons. Say I want to go and grab an apple to eat Anooka would go and hunt for a deer to eat. Gross right! The second way is when I am dirty and want to rinse of, I just hope in a bath or the shower where I can choose the tempature of my water. But....Anooka bathes in a lake. If you think about it Anooka rinses off in a lake full of fish and lots of creatures. Blah!! The third reason is that when k go to sleep I sleep on a comfortable mattress with lots of blankets and a pillow. Anooka sleeps on a cot shaped surface with a bearskin rug. No pillow. I don't know how she lived. To rap things up I think I know how things in my life are different than thing in Anooka's life.

1) Based on your book would you have liked to live in the Stone Age? Why or why not.

No. I would not have liked to live in the Stone Age because Of three simple reasons. The first reason is that there was no school in the Stone Age. School is such an important thing to go to. If I lived I lived in the Stone Age without school I would never be smart! The second reason is that they didn't have sports like softball and soccer in the Stone Age. Softball and soccer are my life so I could definitely not live in the Stone Age for this reason. The third reason is that in the Stone Age they didn't have delicious foods to eat like shepherds pie and seafood and linguini. I could definitely not ever ever ever live in the Stone Age.

Assignment 1 and 5.

1) Based on your book would you have liked to live on the Stone Age? Why or why not?

1) Based on the novel we have now read, the reader may be convinced that one may like to live in the Stone Age if given the various reasons. First, there is clean air, and there really wouldn't be any animals extinct yet, and though some say women weren't as important, they were, they just had different jobs. Also, there are other tribes with different beliefs. Just because on tribe says some thing one way doesn't mean the rest of the tribes do. And just because they didn't have they didn't have TVs or refrigerators or cabinets, (look at Zoe's for counter argument) doesn't mean that you can't use ice too cool your food, you can use other things besides TV to entertain yourself. And in certain tribes you COULD GO AND GRAB AN APPLE FROM A TREE. By the way, they also used to wash in a lake, and although you didn't choose the temperature, you could go in a sunny spot where the lake would be warmer. And some fish actually help you clean off, because they like the dirt. School is important but they are taught all things needed to survive, so I feel that is more important then learning history that hasn't really been made yet, although they learn a lot about their beliefs, but anyhow, learning how to survive in the wilderness versus the square root of sixteen. I do know it is four, but that knowledge is not important right now! They also had athletic sports, like deer hunting and maybe who could throw an apple farthest, which if played right is a bit like softball. And beds are not that different from now, actually, they would probably be better than what they are now if done right. Bear fur is actually really soft if you rinse and dry it as well as fox. And they aren't wasting anything as they eat the meat inside and could use the fat as something else. If you want to live in an era without any waste or GMO, that is the place to go. Their era is just better.

5) Write a review to convince someone your age to read this novel

This book was an amazing novel, fast paced none the less, for readers who may not want to read the biggest book in the world, but learn a little about the human's intriguing past. It brings two almost completely different worlds together and show that a human's emotions are not so different from the end of the Stone Age, to our Era of technology.
