A long time ago, my friends and I went to a beach house and at night we listened to some songs in front of the house at about midnight. Then we heard a sound and something moving behind a tree. We ran Like a bat out of hell, and closed the door. After about twenty minutes we got some knives on our hands to check what that was. We saw that it was just a cow that maybe enjoyed our music.

Yesterday we went for a motorcycle ride and decided to have lunch in Aparecida do Norte. Everyone was very well behaved on the way there, at a very leisurely speed, but on the way back, I don't know what was on our food, but we came like a bat out of hell and the trip back only lasted an hour and a half.

It was a very hot summer day at school and the air conditioner at my classroom was not working. My friends and I had to wait for an hour until the next class started. We looked all over the school for a cool place to stay. Because our classroom was too hot, the cantine was full of people and hot, as well as the library so... we had nowhere to go. But then, we saw it: the teachers room. The air conditioner was working perfectly and the room was empty. We knew we weren´t allowed to go in there and that it was a bad idea, but there was no one there so we decided to stay. The chairs were super confortable and there were cookies on the table. That place was great! We were chatting when all of a sudden three teachers got into the room. They yelled at us, saying we couldn´t be there. They scared the bejesus out of us and we started running like bats out of hell!

When I was a child, I used to play many pranks on people. I was a really naughty boy. There was a plant called Saint Jorge's plant and It seemed like a snake. I put this fake snake beside the street and when someone passed I moved that and the person got a big scare. But it was not my worst prank. Once I hanged a big doll on a tree, and when someone passed on the street I pulled that. One of those times my friends and I did this and the people were dangerous guys, and they tried to beat us. A long time ago, on a summer night, I was at my beach house talking with my family. It was one more of the lovely nights we used to spend together telling stories all night. Then someone started telling a scary story which made us immerse in that. Suddenly, in the middle of the story, we heard a loud noise outside. That was too quick. In a blink of an eye I saw them running away like bats out of hell. Oh my God!. After some time, someone went there to look for what had happened and there was nothing outside. Mystery!!!!

Last year, when we were in Sao Paulo, something strange happened. We were in a small city, in a cousin’s house when our neighborhood was hit by a series of break-ins. We were all on edge, and my wife was anxious, claiming that never something like that would happen to us. And then suddenly, while we were having dinner, the sound of shattering glass startled us. It turned out that robbers had broken into a house down the street.

I grabbed a flashlight and dashed outside to see what was going on. Then I raced down the street like a bat out of hell. I was shouting for help. By the time I caught up the place the robbers had already vanished into the night, but I had managed to alert the neighbors and call the police.

We later found out that the robbers had gotten away, but thanks to our quick action, no one was hurt, and the police were able to increase patrols in the area.

A few weeks ago, Ana Beatriz was feeling sick. But she had been sick all week and only told me on Thursday. I was furious and worried at the same time. I ran out of my house to hers like a bat out of hell. When I got to her house, she looked really bad. I went to the pharmacy, bought some medicine and stayed with her for the rest of the week. During those days that I stayed at her house, I was able to take good care of her. After all, caring for someone doesn't just mean giving her medicine. Caring also involves a lot of affection and love. On Saturday, she was much better. I stayed at her house until Sunday and then I went home. I told her: "Don't do that anymore. Whenever you feel bad, don't hesitate to let me know. I will definitely worry and come like a bat out of hell to take care of you. I love you, and I will take care of you forever."
