Jimi Hendrix uses personification by saying the wind cries, which implies the wind is feeling human emotions like grief or sorrow, and is associated with a person called Mary.

Jane Doe talks about the pavement of the street as though it can feel human emotions. In reality it's her misery that she projects onto it.

Mr Magorium runs a magical toy store, and it is acting out after hearing the news he plans on leaving (dying) soon. It starts making a mess of the toys and going grey, and Mr. Magorium tries to comfort it by telling it how dying is an unavoidable aspect of life.

"Life is like a box of chocolates, you never know what you're gonna get."

The quote is comparing life to a box of chocolates to explain how unpredictable life can be.

This metaphor means that the sun is still out at 8:30 Pm just like babies that fight with their sleep to stay awake

In the song Lana compares happiness to a butterfly. Showing it is fragile and hard to catch.
