after the tie they have to have another race to determine the winner of the piston cup which on the way Lightning Mcqueen falls out of his truck and find himself at radiator springs off of route 66 which he has to fix the road which he ruined

he tries to run but runs out of gas when he finds out that doc is the famous Doc Hudson the racer he fixes the road right and challenges doc to a race and loss then doc calls the people that are looking for lightning mcqueen he goes to the race and during the race he hears doc on the line that is supposed to be his racing manager and doc and the others lead him to a victory and the piston cup
